for example i have 4 PCs in LAN all are sharing one public IP to connect to internet and i get video conferencing software for each one what i know that i have to make port forwarding for some ports to direct any conferencing traffic to specific internal IP of these four PCs so what about the other 3 how they will be able to communicate to internet and when i tried i cant forward the same port to 2 internal IPs at the same time.
I just have one public IP for these PCs

When I try to video conference with a friend in Europe who uses a broadband card, I get the error message ‘cannot acquire IP address’.. why is this? Thanks in advance!
We’d need more information. You can’t or he can’t?
- I cannot connect.
Broadband card - cellular? Wifi? Ethernet?
- Broadband cellular
Where is the error coming from? The operating system? The video program?
- The video program
How is the computer set? To automatically get an IP address, or a static address?
- I don’t know.. but this might be a clue for me to chase down.
Can the computer access the internet?

- Yes.

I have Time warner residential cable where I have two vonage VOIP lines. And I run ooVoo for video conferencing.
I am having chopping voice on all 3 lines if I use them at the same time. Or even if I just ooVoo and use 1 VOIP line. Is there a way to solve this?
Can this be addressed by CPU? using better compression of my video before hitting the net? Or Are there video conference software that uses less bandwidth? Or should I just upgrade my internet connection to get more speed?

I have a connection speed of 100Mbps but I want to get a router because my wife will use web conferencing (audio and video) and I want to view the Internet (basic searches). I do not want to sacrifice the functionality/service of Yahoo Messenger during the web conferencing. Thanks

Ok so check this network out… The budget is $800,000!
A main office with 240 desktops, thinking of going with thin clients to be cheap. 5 divisions — Marketing, Sales, Shipping/Receiving, Research, and Managers… 10 sales reps will be out of the office everyday
Then 3 satellite offices… 1 with 60 users, 1 with 100, and the last with 50. The first one has to be done with token ring and ethernet, 2nd with ethernet with linux and MS, and the third token ring and ethernet.
The main office will communicate with the other three and those three will communicate with each other as well. Each division has to have a dedicated file server and whatever other servers each one needs and each site has to have a dedicated server as well.
The Sales reps will need connections to communicate back to the main office. It will be a mix of 10/100 Mbps… and finally Video conferencing is going to be implemented later..
Now heres the question… I need to diagram the whole thing. Is there any free diagramming software or online diagram builders that I can use?

i need free edition of LAN video conferencing software(for intranet, without using internet), kindly tell me the software address

I have wireless internet set up in my apartment, unfortunately, the apt is built like a bunker is not exactly great for wireless signals. I have problems with the signal dropping off to nothing for a few seconds and then re-appearing. I am using the Cisco Systems WRT54-G Wireless router. I’ve also installed High Gain Antennas to try to negate the concrete and steel walls that the signal has to plow through. Is there any way I could solidify the link or connection, short of installing cable? This is very frustrating when i am video conferencing, or playing war-rock or 360 to just have the link terminate for no explicable reason. Any input would be great.
I have contacted tech support and those schmucks didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know or try, I know there are some tech saavy people out there, help me out before I take a hammer to the router.

Hi friends
i got a problem here in Nagercoil in Broadband Video conferencing using Static IP address mode.
The problem is the subscriber is able to video conference through Airtel network to london but the same subscriber is not able to do the same through BSNL Broadband.Already enquired in NIB Bangalore for assistance if any ort is closed open the port so that the problem will be solved but the reply from bangalore is that all ports are open no problem in NIB.So wat may be the reason for the above?
Local video conferencing is possible through BSNL Broadband but internationaly not why?any answers ?
