Does anyone have good or bad experience with a particular program/solution?

looking at new technologies ie:
-webcams
-video conferencing
-graphic prsentations
-online learning
-Digital music/ Digital videos

I am trying to create a video call using iChat on my Mac and my parents using AIM on their PC - we both have AIM accounts and usernames. It used to work through a programme called Trillian but now that doesn’t work either - there’s always an error connecting. Have tried turning off firewalls as well but that doesn’t work either. We can use a web-based programme called meebo but the video windows are tiny. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Do I need to try to change the settings on my browser?
When I am in my online class, the player won’t allow me to open all the content on the screen.
I see a message about Java scripts pop up and then disappear at the bottom of my screen.
I have the most recent Java software.
The player only works on Mozilla and not on Chrome or Internet Explorer.
Do I need to change the settings on my browser??
Or re-download a browser?
I seem to meet the capabilities of the player in terms of Adobe and flash player.
I did not try un-installing and re-installing those.
I have about 20 hours left of these classes and I have to finish them this weekend (Sunday-Monday) because they are a pre-requisite for my residency class in June.
Thank you! I’ll try it now.

Hi all,
I am having a very small business and I frequently need to collaborate with people from all over the world. So an online conferencing/collaborating/training software is a must for my business.
The key features I am looking for are:
(1) A white board with Internet audio (no need for video).
The while board can be multi-paged, and can be saved for later review. The voice conversation can be recorded and saved for later review.
(2) Sometimes also need application sharing, but users cannot control my computer without my consent. Secure is need
(3) My IP address and identity won’t be shown: since I am doing online collaboration — I don’t need to know my collaborators in real life and they don’t need to know me either.
(4) Good connection, with 24×7 connection. The connect will be down.
Any recommendations for the most cost-effective solutions? I mean high performance, easy-to-use, with the best pricing?
In fact I just need a whiteboard, I can use Skype for audio. Any thoughts

Tonight when I was using my web cam to take part in some online conferencing. The other people said my audio was choppy and lagging. My video was lagging too.
I am use wireless internet with a low signal strength. Could that be the problem? Any other suggestions?
Help would be sooooo appreciated, because I am doing online schooling and couldn’t participate fully in tonights class.
THANK YOU.
