I’m trying to get a sense of how my success with online dating compares to other guys. I decided to give online dating a try because I work with mostly older people as a Software Engineer. I don’t really have many friends either, so it’s tough to meet people.
I consider myself successful compared to others my age, I make around 80,000/year at 25 years old. I am very physically active and in excellent shape and quite muscular. I’m 6foot 190lbs, six pack, everything. Everything about myself is very good except I don’t have an attractive face. I’m very average and my face has a naturally serious expression to it which causes some people to think I look scary.
So on to my success online: I joined eharmony for 5 months. Most women blocked communication with me upon viewing my profile. Some talked (maybe 10%). Out of the girls that talked, only 3 agreed to schedule a date with me. One of these girls cancelled, the other went on 2 dates before rejecting me, and the other went on one.
So how does my experience compare to other guys out there?
Am i having significantly less success than other people?
I will admit that I was rejecting all obese women. Since I am very athletic I want a woman that is not overweigtht. She doesn’t have to be a gym rat or anything, but I just don’t want obese. Maybe I’m not good enough to get a non obese woman?
There is this guy I met online (Not in Person yet) via Chemistry.com. And he seems OK … But I guess I just wanted an outsider’s opinion; can you help me out here? …
Where is says “Profession / Occupation” he put “Software Sales” ? … He has a Bachelors Degree… However I’m not sure how to take that “kind of a title” he put there? … Sorry, but for Me I need a guy that is Ambitious and driven, if he works full time at the local Best Buy selling TV’s I’m not going to be very impressed with the guy…. Sorry. He is 33 years old and in his profile it says he finally is ready and knows what he wants in his life… again that can be taken many ways…

I have been in southern CA. for over three years, I am seeing life here is pretty good. Especially if you grew up in the “Frozen Tundra”(bonus points if you know where that is). I get the feeling that he is cheating on me. I have found other girls pictures on the computer which he just made up some excuse about them when I asked. He was texting this girl he met online on a sports site then he deleted the text so I wouldn’t see. He wasn’t smart enough to cover though because I looked in his recent contacts folder and her number was there. At first when I asked him he said no then when I showed him how I knew he was lying he said that he just dint want me to get mad and they were only talking about sports stuff. then when I go out of town he wont let me take my computer even though I take classes online and I need it. We have been together for 4 years and we have a daughter together. I just need like a free software I can use or something to see who he talks to and stuff when i am gone.
It isnt that I am mad he is talking to other women. I just want to make sure that what they are talking about is as innocent as he says. He has cheated on me before…he kissed his best friends little sister….anyway I am just positive he is doing something I would not approve of and i want it in “writing” before i do anything about it.
