Internet Video Conferencing

I have done some research online & saw this “Beauty Salon Software” which meets my needs but felt its too EX (US $999).. Somemore its not based in Singapore so scared if there’s any issue i wouldn’t be able to settle right away. (Although website put 24/7 support but only thru email.. That makes me feel turn off) So hope i can find the ans here, even if i’ve to buy the software its fine but just hope that there’s some local support for it. Thanks to all in advance!
*In view of tankahn’s ans i think i need to clarify something, i own a Beauty Salon doing facial, face & body treatment, slimming.. etc & system is a MUST right now as my customer base is getting bigger. The metohd i’m using to record customer database right now is thru hand written & soon will not be able to handle future growing new customers population*

I need to do a conference meeting and I want the notetaker to type the notes on Word. I was hoping that we’d all be able to see what they were typing by mirroring/cloning the primary (laptop) monitor onto the secondary monitor.

I have seen software online, however I am very poor right now (I’m a typical college student). I was hoping someone could point me towards a free program.

I am not looking for any hardware, as I do know that exists yet I do not really want to buy any of it also.

i have a video camera, and i want to stream video through the internet live. people will see it as i shoot it. Which software should i use, and how

Me and some my friends have web cams and microphones, so I was wondering if there was anyway for all of us to sit at our own pc’s and participate in the same voice & video conversation, not too many people….just 3 or 4. Its fine even if its just voice….but preferably video too. What would be best is if there was someway to do it in MSN messenger, cause we all already use it. But even if its some other software its fine.
So can anyone help us out?

I’m currently using Yahoo Messenger for chatting with webcam and notice that more often than not, the video streaming lags. While at the same time, I have this device from D-Link (DVC-1000 which is a stand alone webcam for video conferencing that turns your TV into a video conferencing device. Of course the other party should also have this device) and upon observation and comparison, I can’t help but notice that when I use DVC-1000, there’s no lag at all while YM based and/or MSN Messenger based video chats often has lags in video streaming.

Could it be that D-Link’s host server for this service is better and more dedicated for video conferencing than MSN and Yahoo??

Lastly, any of you guys have a much better host for FREE video conferencing that is better than MSN & Yahoo? And of course, nothing will beat I guess direct IP to IP video chatting as there will be no host to manage the process, is this direct IP to IP video chatting possible? If so, how do I set it up?

Right now, I’m currently operating a forum with about 8 different people, and we are facing a bind. The two admins, this guy and myself, are wanting to have a staff meeting, but right now, it is like impossible. We can’t meet in person because one staff member lives in a different country then others, like while some are in U.S.A., some live in Australia, U.K., Canada, etc. We all have a messenger, but we have different kinds (AIM, JABBER, YIM, MSN, etc.), and we don’t want to get new ones.

Basically, we are looking for a site where we can have FREE online meetings / conferences / chatrooms for at least 10 people. The main feature needs to be a “chat”, or at least, we can “chat” in it. Some optional extras would sharing a web browser, possible microphone, video streaming, etc., as well as more then 10 people, NO DOWNLOADING, etc.

Can anyone suggest a site for me to check out?

I want to record me and my 2 other friends (who are in two different state) we all have to be recorded live and at the same time. i tried to find a conference/classroom program like blackboard but for free, but found nothing. So i need something to record all of us at the same time for free and if possible like blackboard where it has shared web browser and whiteboard so can type notes. thanks
