what are differences between video conference and web conference?
when i invite other persons to web cam conference i get pictures but only voice to one
why didn’t they get rid of all the pomp and circumstance and just have the delegates submit their votes via web conference call?
Not only are all the delegates traveling, but all the speakers, all the guests, all the media, and all the protesters…
Is having a pompous convention where every one gets treated like kings more important then the carbon footprint they are leaving?
well wayfar out if you must know my politics.. I am not a green person.. do i feel the enviroment should be protected? of course.. Do i feel that humans and human growth should be stunted because of the enviroment? No
i don’t liter, but if i need a tree to be cut down to build a house I am all for it. I don’t pollute the ocean, however I know we should drill for oil off our coasts.
I was just pointing out in my question that many politicians tell us how to live, yet they don’t live that way…
and to the poster that said.. that getting elected is far more important than going green.. then that just shows that they don’t care about the earth, they just care to pander to the green activists to get elected..
Who is using the service and who should be?
I’m CEO of Zenitum, Inc, a small startup company in Seoul, Korea. We launched a web 2.0 service web site called Envible.com (http://www.envible.com) few weeks ago. Primary focus on the site is “infomal learning.” In Envible, people can meet ohters over the world and engage in conversion sessions then learn things.
We took casual conversion based informal learning metaphor to the site. The site allows people to share knowledge pakaged in multimedia files (i.e. videos, audios, documents, etc). Also, it has a similar features like here, answers,yahoo.com, for posting specific questions. Moreover, people can meet on our free flash based web conference so that they can teach & learn. By allowing saving the web conference sessions, other people with same interests can learn by re-palying it later. My intetion was to create upward sprial effect which people create more knwoledge based on others’ knowledge.
What would be the best way to market this baby to the world? Plz give me some idea!

I’ve seen many solutions like Webex, GoToMeeting, Breeze, etc., but those are far too expensive. I need to hold 8 online web conferences, each of which will have 200 people on it, all of whom will be viewing a powerpoint presentation of mine. I already have a low-cost teleconferencing solution, so now just need to find the web conference part. One avenue is to use an all-you-can-eat, unlimited solution like presenternet.com, but looking for more choices and hoping someone can help me out. This is my first time trying to do this, and don’t know much about it. I am up to using any technology that works, so long as my costs are minimized.
Also, I suppose if it’s easy to do, I could look into a solution whereby I actually install software on MY server to stream the presentation. But my goal is to have some service-based solution handle this…but one that’s affordable.
